Edge delivery
arcnetics runs a small set of regional edge nodes. They terminate TLS for application traffic and serve cached static objects to clients routed here by the origin service. Nodes hold no content of their own and are not general-purpose web servers.
How a node behaves
| Role | edge delivery, TLS termination |
|---|---|
| Protocols | HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2 over TLS 1.3 |
| Address family | IPv4 and IPv6 |
| State | none — nodes are replaceable at any time |
Requests for objects that are not provisioned on a node return 404. That is expected behaviour and not an outage.
